Who manufacturers your components?
Our components are sourced from ISO 9001 certified companies in Hong Kong. We
use a variety of suppliers, but all manufacturers and their components go through
a strict QA procedure, both in the UK and Hong Kong to ensure that they are
of a high enough standard.
FastComponents™ are committed to ensuring that your components
are up to spec!
Do you sell components separately, outside of your
component kits?
With the exception of bulk orders,
we only sell component kits. FastComponents™ was
started because we couldn't find anywhere to buy ranges of high quality
components. Buying 100 1k resistors is all very well, until you find that your
design would be better off with a 3.3k resistor! (believe us, it is intensely
frustrating). By focusing on kits, we are able to offer excellent value through
bulk buying, and you are able to buy a more useful spread of components in one
go.
Do you have datasheets for your component kits?
Yes. We have datasheets for all our components. Our datasheets are in Adobe
PDF format (for which you'll need acrobat reader),
and are available to view or download on the same page as the component kits they describe.

Ok, well if we don't offer it, then please email us.
Because we have a trusted man at ground-zero in Hong Kong, we can put together
new component kits very quickly. If we get a couple of customers asking for
a particular component, we tend to order a small number of new kits to assess
demand. You can keep upto date with our new kits by checking the forthcoming products part of the
FastComponents™ homepage.
What sort of components can you obtain?
We can pick up pretty much any component you can think of, and then some! Ryan
(our procurement engineer) has a huge web of contacts allowing us to buy direct
from manufacturers. Email us,
with your requests, and we'll see what we can do for you.
Can you quote us for X,000 of XYZ?
If you require more than 10,000 of a certain component, please get in touch, and we'll do our best to beat our competitor's quotes!

We are Fast Components Limited, a company registered in England and Wales.

How do I order from you?
The best way to order is to place your order is through the website. Our eCommerce database is used
to keep track of orders, and it will inform you when your order is shipped. We accept all major credit
and debit cards through PayPal (we’re currently switching to Royal Bank of Scotland Merchant services). If you’re having
trouble placing an order, please contact us.
I don't want to give you my credit card details over
the internet!
All of your order details including credit card information are encrypted, and our website is regularly
audited to ensure that it’s kept secure. If you still feel uneasy about an online transaction, you can send
us a cheque or postal order. You will need to send us a postal order
or cheque in British pounds sterling.
Can I pay without a credit card?
Yes. You can pay by sending us a UK sterling cheque or postal order.
How can I pay via cheque or postal order?
UK Sterling Cheques and postal orders should be made payable to Fast Components Limited. When ordering through the website,
you should select the appropriate payment method as you proceed through the checkout. By putting your non-credit card order
through our ordering system, we can ensure you will receive your goods promptly. We will post your goods once your payment
has cleared (in the case of cheques). We recommend against sending cash (unless it's registered), as we can not be held
responsible for payments lost in the post.
What currencies do you accept?
If you pay with a credit / debit card, we can take payment in British Pounds Sterling (£), US dollars ($), or Euros (€).
Please select the currency that you wish to pay in on the ordering payment page. The total will automaticaly be converted
from UK Sterling into your local currency based on that day's exchange rates.
How can I check the status of my order?
If you placed our order through our online ordering system, then all you need to do is login, and click on on 'View the orders I have made' under the 'My Orders' header.
You can see your previous orders, invoices/receipts, and their status.
What is your 'returns' Policy?
We offer a 28 day returns policy, against the component kit not being complete or its contents being defective.

Can you issue us with a VAT receipt?
If you require a VAT receipt to claim back the VAT charged on your purchases, please contact us by email with your order number and we will be happy to provide you with one. Our VAT number is: GB 900 1238 84
Shipping
Who does your shipping?
We use Royal Mail for shipping world-wide. All UK orders below 1kg are sent
first class; those above 1kg are sent via the standard parcels service. International orders below 2kg are shipped by airmail.
For urgent orders, or International orders heavier than 2kgs, please contact us.
When do you ship orders?
All orders (orders can only be completed for components that are in stock) are shipped within 2 days of ordering.
How much does your shipping cost?
Our shopping cart system calculates the sum weight of your order and uses the
following shipping table to calculate the shipping cost.
How long does shipping take to get to X?
Our shipping table shows both the cost and expected delivery time for different weights and destinations.
Our delivery times are not guaranteed. If you still haven’t received your order 7 days after it’s expected,
please get in touch.
Do you provide tracking numbers?
No, but we will send you an email confirming the shipment of your order and your component’s expected delivery date.
